The concept is simple, the results will be incredible, and television viewers will be rewarded by learning, as they watch the best bass anglers of the Midwest compete in a five-day tournament environment like no other, running Tuesday through Saturday.
“One on One” will commence on Tuesday with a full field of 64 anglers fishing from 8:00am to 4:30pm to make the first cut. At 5:00pm the field will be quickly cut to the top 32, based on a total weight of five bass.
On Wednesday, the 32 remaining anglers will again fish by the same rules as day one in order to advance. The top 16, based on total weight for five bass, gain the right to continue.
Then the rules change. On Thursday, the 16 remaining anglers will fish “One on One” to the next cut, by positioning themselves in the top 8 for the day. They fish “One on One” with another angler on spots determined by the draw, in a top-to-bottom bracketed pairing.
On Friday, the 8 remaining anglers will go “One on One” to reach the next cut - the top 4.
The big day is Saturday, when the top “Final Four” will fish “One on One” for their portion of over $42,000.00 in cash and prizes.

No two sets of anglers will fish the same spot at the same time; however, it is possible that more than one set of anglers could fish the same location during a qualifying day.

There will no profanity between anglers and any violation of these two specific rules will provide certain advancement for the non-offender, judge’s decision WILL be swift and final. (C) DAYS 3,4 & 5 the anglers will fish predetermined locations as set forth by the officials. On day 3, each angler will choose two locations which will be nested in a hat. At which time the highest ranking angler will draw a location, defining a starting location. The number 16 angler will pair with the number 1 angler for the entire day. The number 16 angler will draw their second location and finally the official will draw their third. This process will be followed until all the necessary pairings are complete.
(D) Each pair will fish an area with a radius or length of 200 yards. Neither angler may position their boat any further than 100 yards from the designated official buoy in the case of a sunken structure or beyond the marked ends of a linear structure such as boat docks.
(E) The angler drawing the location will determine where the area is to be marked. In other words, they will instruct the officials where to set the official buoy. Or where the linear section will start.
