Simply Fishing host, Bob Mehsikomer, educates viewers on fishing techniques, and shows them how to catch fish, including the correct times and locations. Bob reveals his secrets for finding and catching big fish - everyone's dream fish. Simply Fishing gives anglers all the information to visit the same destinations.
From January to April each year, Bob gives video supported seminars at sport shows, fishing club functions, and special retail stores events. All the educatuinal materials are backed by "on the edge of your seat", action packed video support. Bob develops new seminars for the sport show circuit each year, which adds to the already impressive list of seminars available. Bob’s seminars are around 45 minutes with 15 minutes of Q&A to make the time slot one hour. Seminars require a facility where the lights can be brought down for full effect of the video support, and a video projection screen large enough for those in the rear of the room to view easily. Other speaking and hosting engagements are also accepted.
Bob Mehsikomer is a 13-time world record release holder in the National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame with releases in muskie, northern pike, and lake trout. Bob is Mr. Muskie, capturing more gigantic muskies on video than anyone thought was possible. As of 2008 Bob has 97 muskies 50-inches and better to his credit. Now that's alot of BIG FISH VIDEO! Simply Fishing produces many retail videos covering many species, but we specialize in "How To" Muskie Videos which are distributed nationally.
About Bob Mehsikomer
Bob was introduced to the world of fishing many years ago as a child and was drawn to the sport like metal to a magnet. He began fishing seriously as a competitor in bass tournaments over 20 years ago. His curiosity, quest for knowledge, attention to detail, and determination to be successful earned him many first place wins. Always thinking, Bob developed fishing methods to match the fish behavior patterns he recognized. Bob continually ranked among the leaders and in turn was offered speaking engagements among clubs and sport groups in the area.
Being a sportsman in the truest sense of the word, Bob was willing to share his fishing knowledge to help others gain more success in the sport of fishing. Even today his seminars are always packed with honest, quality information that one can really put to use on the water. His seminars carry the sportsmanís message of good conservation practices. Let's catch fish, but also use catch and release principles so that the fishing resources are protected for other generations to enjoy. Bob developed the C.P.R. program for fish. Seminars could not fulfill Bob's desire to educate people interested in sport fishing and in 1984 he began airing a television series entitled, Thunder on the Water, The show was celebrated for the big muskie and pike Bob consistently caught and released and for its’ honesty. People were drawn to the show by the fact there are no staged fishing sequences and no tricks shots: a real fishing series. In 1990 the television series evolved into the 30 minute, multiple species trophy freshwater fishing program, Simply Fishing TV Series. Bob, and his crews have also produced 36 educational video titles to date available in DVD to consumers. As one might guess, from the fact that Bob's hobbies include recreational fishing for relaxation, his family members are also fishing enthusiasts. His two sons, Mike and Jason are very involved in the sport. Mike is currently tournament fishing, and Jason will soon enter the video end of the business. Dawn, his wife, loves the spring crappie bite, and claims to be Bob's good luck charm.
